Nicholas Costopoulos, a self-taught fine art photographer based in Massachusetts, was born and raised in Boston. After living in and photographing the outer Cape Cod towns of Truro and Provincetown for ten years, he currently works in his East Boston studio.
Costopoulos explores various photography interests, including alternative process printing, portraiture, and figure studies. He has embarked on a new long-term project, “Coming Home, Again and Again,” which delves into his identity as a second-generation Greek American. This project examines and documents his familial, cultural, societal, religious, intergenerational trauma, and spiritual life. The first part of this project, titled “Caregiver,” serves as his thesis. He holds an MFA in Visual Arts from Lesley University’s College of Art+Design in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
